The bottom or “sill” logs rotted on a Shawnee log home, this happens all to often, due to poor design of the homes, and to little roof overhang. With their “flat on flat” log construction, these home create the perfect place for water to wick into, and sit and begin the rotting process. Left unaddressed these problems can get ugly quick!
